Welcome to my award winning e-portfolio! It is nice to connect with you. I am a board certified mental health nurse practitioner, professional educator, holistic health coach, yogi, martial artist, and ordained minister with experience providing acute and long term care for all ages. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Auburn University and a dual Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in advanced psychiatric nursing practice/nursing education bestowed with honors. I am confident even if you lose years of your life to severe trauma, abuse, or mental illness, you can still live a beautiful, happy, free, and fulfilling life.
Through my own personal healing journey, I found a passion for applying ancient therapies, psychedelic medicines, and holistic healing modalities to Western psychiatry. Concurrent with traditional Westernized graduate studies, I completed Blue Morpho's Fundamental & Advanced Modern Shamanism courses, plant medicine coursework at the Ayahuasca Foundation's Riosbo Research Center in the Allpahuayo-Mishana National Reserve, Peru, and participated in the world's first women's psilocybin research study in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. I have clinical, research, and/or ceremonial experience with many medicines including cannabis, ketamine, psilocybin, ayahuasca, huachuma/San Pedro, and kambô. I currently work as a prescriber for KetaMD fighting the S.A.A.D. (suicide, addiction, anxiety, depression) epidemic. I'm a devout Christian with an appreciation for a wide range of world philosophies, cultures, and mythologies. I am currently studying Earth Priestess Temple Arts and pursuing a life of service to the Earth.
I am lovingly called "Mushroom Queen" because I help my partner Allen (the "Mushroom Cowboy") manage Fungi Farm, the Southeast's premier mushroom agricultural supply and laboratory. I am an Alabama state mushroom identification expert, a published scientific illustrator, and I regularly lead fungi forays.
I serve as president of the International Association of Psychedelic Nursing (IAPN), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which unites health care professionals, students, and indigenous healers in the promotion of education, research, networking, and formulation of evidence based best practice standards. I also founded Hope Network, holistic wellness company staffed with experienced, professionally trained personnel. Hope Network serves to host fully legal & safe psychedelic medicine sessions.
I was selected by Today's Nurse as a Top Nurse Practitioner in America. I was awarded the Emerging Voices Award and the Women of the Psychedelic Renaissance Grant from Cosmic Sister. I received the Presidential Scholarship from the American Cannabis Nurses Association, Spirit of Auburn scholarship from Auburn University, and am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honors Society, American Nurses Association (ANA), American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Cannabis Nurses Network (CNN), Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA), International Association of Kambô Practitioners (IAKP).
I am a level II Reiki practitioner, trained in Kundalini & yin yoga, and have led yoga classes for hospitalized psychiatric patients ages 4-97. I regularly teach martial arts for all ages at Auburn Mixed Martial Arts and Auburn Jiu Jitsu. I also teach health care professionals & pre-professionals de-escalation and defense techniques to prevent workplace injury from violence. I am a North American Grappling Association (NAGA) World silver medalist, 3x NAGA world medalist, USA Judo National President's Championship absolute gold medalist. IBJJF, NAGA, and American Grappling Federation (AGF) USA national silver medalist, AGF Georgia State Grappling Champion, 2x AGF absolute champion, 4x AGF gold medalist, and Newbreed gold medalist. I have won more than 50 awards as an active martial arts competitor.
