About Cosmic Sister (@CosmicSister)

Cosmic Sister is an environmental feminist educational advocacy group founded in 2007 by cultural activist Zoe Helene, who originated and popularized the term “Psychedelic Feminism,” a sub-genre of feminism that embraces “sacred plants” and fungi—such as ayahuasca, peyote, iboga, San Pedro cactus, psilocybin mushrooms and cannabis—as “nature’s eco-evolutionary allies” for women's healing, self-liberation and empowerment, and for exploring core feminist issues in fresh and exciting ways. Our focus is informed intentional journeying with these medicines in a safe, legal “set and setting,” from a women’s empowerment perspective. Cosmic Sister advocates for women, wilderness, wildlife, and for our natural right to work with sacred plants. We help to bring women’s voices to the forefront in the field of psychedelics (and beyond).
